“The staff was not helpful. There was one guy who was helpful but not overly friendly. They were more worried about who quit and gossiping in front of customers versus making sure the free breakfast was stocked. The overall Custer service was a major disappointment. If it weren’t for that it would have been a nice stay. Great location in Waverly and lots of things to do within walking distance. Easy parking.”

“This flat was a perfect homebase as I visited family in the area. It was equipped with everything I needed, and was a really cute space in a wonderful location along the river and overlooking the movie theater across the street. The directions for check-in and parking were clear and easy to follow. The mattress and bedding were comfortable. The space was very usable, including closet space. I will definitely book this flat in the future!”

“Such a quaint and cozy cabin on the river. I love being so close to and one with nature, while still having a warm bed and running water :) such a peaceful deck to sit and listen to birds, watch the river and pet Louie, the sweetest dog ever!”

“The house was clean and generally worked well for us. The only problem that we had was that there were no railings on the front porch which made it somewhat difficult getting in and out of the house.”

“I absolutely love this hotel bc my daughter loves the pool and it’s very affordable. They are dog friendly (I have a service dog but I like it’s dog friendly) in general. The staff is very nice and the only downfall is the restaurant that’s in there as you walk in doesn’t have a kids menu and their food isn’t great and it’s expensive! But the ice cream shakes are good…but that’s my only compliment on that particular place to eat. ”

“This hotel was perfect for 2 of us that came to town for an event at UNI (3 minute drive/20 minute walk for reference). The price was right, the exterior is nice & well kept, and the interior was consistent with that. Overall very clean, pleasant staff including the housekeepers we met in the elevator. Another review mentioned noise from the highway, but we did not find this to be a problem. (We were on the highway side too). Water pressure in the shower is great, there were plenty of towels...

“We have stayed here often and were concerned because it had kind of went downhill and were thinking about changing where we stay. But they have changed management and appears they are trying to make things better. They were putting in new mattresses when we were there - we got a room with a new one, very nice! Also the breakfast was very good and they stayed on top of keeping things cleaned up. And one thing that hasn't changed, staff was excellent as usual, very friendly and helpful. Also...
